"Don't ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive, and go do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive."
- Howard Thurman, Author and Civil Rights Leader
I come alive when I'm moving and using my hands. When I'm interacting, laughing and learning with others while empowering them to take hold of their health. I come alive when I help others heal and move better. That's why being a physical therapist and movement specialist feels so aligned with who I am and what I want to do. Having dealt with chronic pain since I was 15, I understand the immense impact injuries and pain can have not just on our bodies, but our minds, our relationships, and our lives. As a transman and Iranian immigrant, I am deeply familiar with the difficulties of entrusting a stranger with your body and well-being. That's why I don't take the privilege afforded to me as a provider lightly. Through trauma-informed, mindfulness-based practices, I work to develop a collaborative relationship with every client. I view everyone as the expert of their own body with an innate healing ability. As a movement expert, I see myself as a guide helping each client find their inner healer. I can't wait to help you find yours!
Outside of work, I nourish myself through time spent with family, friends and my dog, audiobooks/podcasts/movies, outdoor adventures, traveling, nights out dancing, nurturing my plant babies, and exercising.
